Return of the classics
The Chieftec Hawk is a rare computer case today with a conservative design, that is, devoid of transparent glass panels and flickering backlighting. Moreover, this is not at all a cramped “tin can”, but a roomy and thick-walled (0.6 mm steel) case suitable for assembling a gaming or professional working PC. The front panel, by the way, is not made of plastic, but of more premium brushed aluminium.
streamlined shape
A graphics card up to 35 cm long can easily fit in a Hawk, as well as a tower CPU cooler up to 16.6 cm high. Moreover, the latter is achieved precisely by the large frame width, and not by the ugly bulge of the side cover, as in absolutely deshman cases. The seat of the power supply unit is covered with a decorative casing, and the air vents are covered with dust filters. There are four fan seats: three in the front and one in the back. You can also install a two-section dropsy in front.
Neat cable management
There are two seats for 3.5 and 2.5-inch drives in Hawk: the first are mounted horizontally with a slide into the lower basket, and the second — vertically behind the motherboard tray (there is also plenty of space for hidden wiring). There is also one 5.25-inch slot — now rare, but sometimes still in demand, for example, for a DVD drive or a reobass for controlling the fan speed.
Smart Savings
That's just not a single turntable complete with Hawk is not provided. However, the price of the hull is so moderate that it is foolish to demand a pack of propellers to boot. Fortunately, the Chieftec assortment has a ready-made kit of reobas and three 12-cm Tornado fans, just enough to install a couple for intake and one for exhaust. And if you are still a supporter of newfangled glass cases, decorated by default with RGB fans, then take a closer look at the Scorpion II model.
