High-end bookshelf speakers class 2.0 with a combined wired and wireless connection. The kit is a member of the Edifier R music line, belongs to the upper middle price segment and is designed for demanding users who are looking for powerful and high-quality speakers for computers, game consoles and home theaters. At the heart of each speaker is one 5-inch bass driver and one Eagle Eye dome tweeter, which, thanks to additional DSP processing, delivers crystal-clear high frequencies with minimal harmonic distortion.

Each speaker is equipped with its own class D amplifier. In total, the system delivers 120 watts of power (60 watts per channel). The cabinet of the Edifier R1280DB is made from premium grade E0 MDF boards, which minimize the spurious overtones and coloration associated with plastic cabinet speakers. The sound control unit is located on the back of the active speaker. It contains volume, bass and treble controls, as well as connection ports (2 pairs of RCA + optics + Bluetooth). Also, a complete remote control is provided to control the speakers. As befits high-end speakers, they come in two classic color options (black and wood).

The speakers provide well-balanced sound. I previously used a 2.1 set from Microlab, but there was always a feeling of some dissonance, so choosing the standard 2.0 speakers was quite a conscious decision - and one I don't regret. They are excellent for instrumental, classical, electronic, and pop music, as well as movies. For their price, and considering the really convenient and well-functioning Bluetooth connection, they are practically unmatched. The only caveat is with fast-paced metal music. Without adjusting the equalizer, the vocals and mids in general get lost, so I can't recommend these speakers to metalheads. But for everyone else - welcome.
