Unlike the first generation Iridium Pro, the GOODRAM IRDM PRO GEN. 2 IRP-SSDPR-S25C-512 uses TLC 3D NAND Flash. Thanks to advanced semiconductor technology and a special LDPC error elimination technique, this memory exhibits high reliability comparable to the previous MLC 3D NAND. The Phison PS3111-S12 controller with a 512 MB DDR3L DRAM buffer became the performant hardware basis of the drive. This model supports efficient hardware error correction algorithms, SMART, NCQ technology and correctly processes the TRIM command. The guaranteed resource claimed by the manufacturer (TBW 438 GB) is equivalent to daily recording of 120 GB of data for 10 years.
