A family of classic multi-purpose laptops based on the Intel Alder Lake platform. They belong to the entry level, are included in the universal IdeaPad line of 2022 release, are designed to perform tasks of an entry-level and intermediate level, such as working with texts, tables, presentations, watching videos, surfing the web, etc. Depending on the configuration, they can belong to the initial and middle price segment.

The think tank is either a 6-core Core i3 chip or a 10-core 12th Gen Core i5 (Alder Lake) with 8GB/16GB DDR4 RAM, a fast 512GB SSD, and an entry-level UHD graphics card built into the processor /IrisXe. Depending on the cost, the characteristics of the display also differ. The younger modifications have a 15.6-inch TN + film matrix with Full HD resolution, modest color reproduction (220 cd / m2), a standard brightness indicator and viewing angles limited for TN matrices.

Models one level up use a more interesting IPS display, which has a large margin of brightness and contrast, plus it does not smear colors like a TN screen when viewed from the side. Devices Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 differ in modest dimensions: the plastic case weighs 1.63 kg, and its thickness is 20 mm. Due to decent autonomy (up to 7 hours on a single charge) and support for fast charging, they can be useful while working outside the home, traveling and business trips. Equipped with a full-size island keyboard with Numpad, which does not require getting used to after the standard desktop keyboard. For video communication, the series devices are equipped with a modern network card with Wi-Fi 5, a webcam and standard stereo speakers.
