RTX 3050 are based on GA106 chips with additional 8-pin power supply and power consumption of 130 W.
A mid-range performance gaming graphics card that joins MSI's most popular gaming graphics card series GAMING in the first half of 2022. It boasts excellent performance, an efficient cooling system and at the same time a discreet design with switchable backlight. But first things first. As for performance. The card is based on the Nvidia GA106 (Ampere, 8 nm) GPU supported by 8 GB of GDDR6 graphic memory (128-bit bus).
This is quite enough for drawing detailed graphic textures. At the same time, the processor has 2nd generation RT cores with hardware support for Real-Time Ray Tracing technology and 3rd generation tensor cores that provide DLSS intelligent scaling technology. To stay cool even in the hottest gaming battles, the MSI GeForce RTX 3050 GAMING X 8G graphics card is helped by an advanced cooling system.
In this case, the manufacturer installed the TWIN FROZR 8 system, consisting of two TORX 4.0 fans with twin blades, which serve to improve the focusing of the air flow. The picture is complemented by a wavy shape of the radiator, square-shaped heat pipes, a large number of thermal pads and a rear metal reinforcement plate. Supports high-speed PCI-E v4.0 system interface, fully compatible with its predecessor PCI-E v3.0. It can serve as an excellent choice for both building new gaming computers and upgrading existing ones.
