11-blade aperture up to f/1.2
The lens has a classic focal length of 85 mm, ideal for portrait photography. Its 11-blade aperture opens to a maximum value of f/1.2. A separate ring is provided for aperture control, and an additional manual focus ring can be reprogrammed for other functions, such as exposure control.
Soft and flexible bokeh
The maximum aperture of f/1.2 provides excellent sharpness in the center of the frame and spectacular background blur, making the lens ideal for portrait photography. Soft and flexible bokeh will appeal to fans of artistic photography. The optical design includes 15 elements in 10 groups, including two aspherical lenses and one ED element. The lenses have Super Integrated Coating and Nano Crystal Coating, which eliminate flare and ghosting.
Two STM drives
The lens is dust- and moisture-proof, supports 82 mm diameter filters and is equipped with a dual autofocus system based on STM motors. The internal focusing system allows maintaining the same dimensions, which are 102.5 mm in diameter and 141.5 mm in length. The model weighs 1.16 kg, which emphasizes its serious professional character.
