A 2-in-1 full-frame model that can be used both as a portrait lens and as a 1:1 macro lens. Those. small objects in the frame will be seen as they really are. The model is sharpened from a distance of 29 cm from the plane of the matrix (about 15 cm from the front edge of the lens body). The Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Z VR S MC Nikkor uses two independent lens groups driven by a pair of STM motors to achieve fast focusing speeds.
Importantly, the focus here is internal - the front lens of the lens does not move. The optical scheme of the model has 16 elements in 11 groups (with one aspherical lens and three low dispersion ED elements). A 9-blade aperture is responsible for drawing beautiful bokeh. A two-position focusing distance limiter is placed on the body of the model, there is also a slider for switching focusing modes and a customizable L-Fn button. And most importantly, the model was equipped with a small info screen. The model is assembled in a housing with dust and moisture protection, it is equipped with an image stabilizer, which can reduce jitter by about 4.5 steps. Around the front lens of the lens there is a thread for filters with a diameter of 62 mm.

The AF-S VR 105 f/2.8G IF-ED is the first lens to use vibration reduction (VR) in macro photography. This ensures that images are taken at the highest optical quality and resolution for both digital and 35mm SLR cameras. The lens uses the second generation of Nikon's Vibration Reduction System (VR II), which allows you to use shutter speeds 4 stops longer when shooting handheld than when shooting without it (according to tests by Nikon). The SWM (Silent Wave Motor) and IF (internal focus) system provide quiet and very fast focus, as well as instantaneous switching between automatic and manual focus. The optical performance of the lens is enhanced by the use of an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass optical element that reduces chromatic aberrations, and a nano-crystalline anti-reflection coating that drastically suppresses flare and reflections and delivers crisp, clear images with fine detail.
