One of the most functional mechanical keyboards under $100

Over the past year, the Redragon brand has been noted for a whole bunch of interesting gaming keyboards, which bypass popular models from famous manufacturers in terms of functionality, and at the same time cost 2-3 times cheaper. Released in early 2020, the Redragon Brahma is one of the most feature-packed mechanical keyboards out there with prices under $100.

Strong as a tank

Among the advantages it should be noted a massive, high-quality assembled frame (it weighs more than a kilogram), which is difficult to accidentally move, dynamic backlighting of each key, a convenient soft-touch stand for brushes with magnetic latches, protection against accidentally spilled moisture and 2 blocks of macros. Two of them are displayed on the panel on the left and top and are designed for game macros, the third (M1 - M4) for controlling brightness and backlight effects. The icing on the cake was the multimedia keypad with a tactilely pleasing volume knob, which the guys at Reddragon borrowed from expensive Corsair tournament keyboards.

2 macro blocks

The loud click of Outemu Blue mechanical switches can not please here. If you plan to use it also as a typewriter, then you will need a personal account, otherwise the household will look askance. As for the physical sensations, the difference between Outemu and Cherry switches is not as fundamental as it is commonly thought, and many hardcore gamers who have played on dozens of different keyboards do not always immediately understand what exactly is under their fingers. The question is rather about the durability of these switches, but come on, we have a good “mechanics” in front of us, actually for $70, what else can we ask for? Therefore, you can also close your eyes to the uselessness of proprietary software.
