Laowa Lens Support / Tripod Collar for 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO is designed exclusively for the Laowa 100mm f2.8 2x Ultra Macro lens. Suitable for all mounts of the lens. The Tripod mount allows mounting the lens to a tripod to provides a steadier and more balanced mounting point than mounting to the camera. This extra support can be useful in macro photography. The collar has a top hinge, and attaches to the rear barrel of the lens, and the locking knob located on the left of the ring allows you to rotate the lens from a horizontal to a portrait orientation. The Laowa tripod collar is constructed of lightweight ABS plastic outer shell, metal inserts, and has a flocked material on the lens facing side to grip the lens firmly without scratching. The base plate features a 1/4" screw fitting to mount to a tripod head, or similar mount with 1/4" standard screw thread. Please note the lens support is mostly mounted over the distance scale, which can obscure it somewhat.
