Break barrel air rifles
Breaking barrel
— in rifles of this design, the barrel for cocking and reloading folds down, turning on a special mount; outwardly it seems that the weapon breaks in the middle, hence the name. It is used in spring-piston rifles and models with a gas spring. Many could see such weapons in entertainment shooting galleries. When the barrel is broken, not only the mechanism is cocked, but also the chamber opens, where the bullet is placed. Breaking Rifles are inexpensive and require minimal skill to reload. The disadvantages of such a scheme are the impossibility of creating a multiply charged weapon, as well as the gradual wear of the mounts and the loosening of the barrel, which affects accuracy (especially when using optics mounted on a fixed part of the rifle).breaking barrel | clear | Save List |
