Air rifles with underbarrel lever

— cocking by means of a lever located under the barrel. Mainly used in spring-piston rifles and gas-spring models (see "Type"). Such systems are more complex in design and more expensive than mechanisms with a broken barrel, but they have an important advantage: the barrel remains motionless, it does not use fasteners that can become loose as they wear. A similar advantage is provided by the side lever (see the relevant paragraph), however, the lower location of the lever is universal — it allows you to cock the weapon with the same convenience both with right-handed and left-handed butts.

Note that occasionally there are gas-balloon rifles with this cocking system. In such models, the underbarrel lever is usually called the Henry bracket — a device in the trigger area that swings back and forth due to the movement of the "shooting" hand. Such a brace is a characteristic detail of classic cowboy hard drives, and such pneumatics usually just copies this weapon. But the pump lever in multi-compression rifles is not considered a cocking system, since it is only responsible for filling the tank.
