It is durable, resistant to scratches and cracks, moisture and temperature extremes, easy to process and can take almost any shape; in plastic stocks, it is easiest to implement various adjustments (cheeks, butt, etc.). With all this, plastic is inexpensive and has a small weight. Of the obvious shortcomings, one can only single out the “modern” appearance, which can alienate adherents of the classic weapon aesthetics.
