Air rifles with auto fuse

Auto fuse

— the presence of an automatic fuse in the design of the rifle. It usually works as follows: when the weapon is cocked, the trigger is automatically blocked, and a shot can only be fired by removing the weapon from the safety catch. This greatly reduces the chance of accidental firing and makes the rifle safer to use. However, this function does not guarantee absolute safety and eliminates the need for careful handling and compliance with relevant regulations.

Note that automatic safety catches are especially popular in rifles with a broken barrel (see "Cocking System"): such a mechanism does not allow you to pull the trigger until the shooter has completed reloading and the barrel has not taken up position. But in other types of pneumatics, this option is rare, and such systems are not always fuses in the classical sense of the word. For example, in PCP rifles (see "Type"), a mechanism can be installed that does not allow a second bullet to be fed into an already loaded barrel; such systems are also sometimes referred to as auto fuses.
