Electric bike

— bicycles that are designed with electric motors powered by batteries. In most of these models, the electric motor plays a supporting role, reducing pedal effort; however, there are bikes that are capable of driving only on electric traction, without effort on the part of the user (for more information on this, see “Operation mode (for electric)”. In any case, the key advantage of electric models is that driving them requires significantly less effort than for classic bicycles. On the other hand, such models are characterized by high cost and significant weight (compared to analogues without electric motors), and their use is usually limited to city riding (exceptions such as electric fat bikes are extremely rare – see the corresponding paragraph).
