All-in-One Printers Canon series i-SENSYS (laser)
Canon i-SENSYS: sophisticated laser MFPs for home and office
In June 2018, Canon introduces a new series of laser MFPs (i.e. a printer with a scanner and a built-in fax) in A4 format called i-SENSYS. In the assortment of the brand, this line occupies a certain intermediate position. On the one hand, the high speed of printing, a bunch of additional functions and enhanced security measures say that we have a corporate hard worker in front of us. On the other hand, the relative compactness, coupled with a simplified setup procedure and the cheapness of laser printing, make it possible to use i-SENSYS devices at home. Although, the devices are not the cheapest, and overpaying for a home fax is a so―so idea.

Currently, this series includes more than two dozen models, among which you can find both colour and monochrome models, both 3-in-1 variants and multifunctional All-in-one devices. There are still more monochrome and workhorses, do not forget that Canon created this series with an eye to small offices in which there is a need for permanent black and white printing. All of them have similar basic characteristics, but differ in equipment details, additional features and, of course, price.

Most devices can boast of a universal connection ― you can connect to the print source over the air to a shared Wi-Fi network, using a LAN port or a regular USB. To complete the picture, some 2019 models began to be equipped with NFC for quick interaction with smartphones. Thus, Canon has provided for any use cases ― embed the device into a local network using a LAN port, print photos directly from your smartphone, scan documents, immediately sending them to email and duplicating them to an FTP server. Also, many models provide two-sided scanning, which, thanks to the two-sided printing mechanism, turns into a full two-sided copy. In addition to the control buttons, the second and third generation i-SENSYS models are equipped with an additional liquid crystal display.
