The XLR8 series from the American manufacturer PNY releases high-end memory for video game fans, streamers and overclockers.

This series is equipped with high-quality memory chips, undergoes strict quality control and is distinguished by high throughput. The series is far from the newest, there are quite a lot of models in it and, to simplify it, they can be divided into 2 groups - the first contains minimalistic overclocking modules PNY XLR8, the second - more colorful modder XLR8 RGB drives.

In terms of technical characteristics, they are almost identical. The difference is that the PNY XLR8 RGB models feature stylish plastic combs with EPIC-X RGB lighting, which looks especially great in a computer case with a side window or completely transparent walls. At the same time, the radiator not only plays the role of a beautiful decoration, but is also responsible for the effective cooling of memory modules operating at the limit.

In 2023, PNY refreshed its line by releasing a pack of modules of the new DDR5 standard, which significantly expanded the choice of available options. The ToughRAM series range begins with single sticks and paired sets of the DDR4 standard with a total memory capacity of 8 to 64 GB. Operating frequency range: from 2666 to 4400 MHz. The lineup is completed by the XLR8 Mako DDR5 overclocking kits, designed for powerful gaming PCs with 2K/4K monitors. DDR4 strips support XMP 2.0 technology; DDR5 models support XMP 3.0.
