Sound cards with instrument input

Instrumental (Hi-Z)

— the presence on the sound card of a special high-impedance input for connecting musical instruments. This interface provides good signal transmission quality, including fairly low noise level; it is practically useless "in everyday life", but it has proven itself well in professional recording. Note that such models will be useful primarily for guitarists and bassists — these are the types of instruments that widely use the Hi-Z connection.
