Jack (6.35 mm)

— analogue audio output, similar in design to the 3.5 mm mini-Jack (see the relevant paragraph), but larger. As a result, there are only one or two such connectors in sound cards, and they are most often intended for outputting an analogue stereo signal. At the same time, Jack output provides a more reliable and noise-free connection than mini-Jack, making it better suited for professional applications; in fact, the presence of such a connector is typical just for high-quality sound cards.

Note that to save space, the 6.35mm input can be plugged directly into an XLR jack (see the corresponding section). The disadvantage of this design is the impossibility of using both interfaces at the same time; however, such a need arises extremely rarely, so this moment cannot be called critical.
