The Clutch series is based on classic gaming mice with different types of connections (USB/Bluetooth/radio), RGB backlighting and an emphasis on ease of control. These are far from the most expensive, but at the same time high-quality and well-thought-out manipulators for casual and experienced gamers who do not see the need to buy an expensive e-sports model. Clutch models most often use non-slip plastic or a special soft-touch coating as the body material. The shape is most often designed for right-hand control, the button layout is classic: 2 main, 2 side, scroll wheel and DPI switch. The purpose of the buttons, as a rule, can be reassigned in the proprietary software and saved in the internal memory of the device.

Over the 5-plus years of existence of the Clutch series, it has produced more than a dozen rather similar manipulators with wired and wireless connections. In order not to confuse potential buyers, the technical coolness of a mouse is determined by the number in its name. Thus, wired models a la Clutch GM08 and Clutch GM11 are entry-level, equipped with the simplest optical sensors, and the only additional things they have are a couple of side buttons and neat backlighting of the logo. It’s a completely different matter - advanced manipulators a la GM31 and GM51 with a lightweight body, high-precision sensor, durable mechanical switches, programmable buttons, built-in memory, etc.

2022 and newer MSI Clutch models often feature long-lasting Omron mechanical switches with a pretty serious lifespan of 60 million clicks or more. The proprietary FriXionFree braided cable, which is usually used for wired connections, is durable, flexible and at the same time lightweight, so it does not rub on the table or cling to the speakers and monitor stand, interfering with gaming. Plus, most MSI Clutch mice are equipped with Mystic Light RGB lighting. As a rule, only the logo is illuminated, and only some models have additional LEDs built into the base of the case and side walls.
