Increase availability
An APC Rack Automatic Transfer Switch makes it possible to connect single-powered hardware to two different power sources in order to increase the availability of this connected hardware and prevent costly downtime. Because an APC Rack ATS uses two input power cords (not included) it can be connected to two different power sources at the same time. By then connecting single-powered hardware to the Rack ATS this hardware can have access to 2 separate power sources. If one source fails the Rack ATS immediately switches to the second feed without the connected hardware being affected.
