Fan

— classic fan is a motor with blades that does not have any additional devices (radiators, heat pipes, etc.). This category also includes sets of several fans.

Such devices are poorly suited for cooling individual system components, but they do an excellent job of blowing hot air out of the system unit. Therefore, according to their intended purpose (see the relevant paragraph), the vast majority of fans are case fans. In addition, there are single models designed for other computer components — usually hard drives, less often RAM or certain models of video cards. Moreover, in the latter case, the fan may not be an independent system, but a component for assembling an active cooler from separately purchased components.
