Asus fans probably know that there are two completely different series of products for video game fans in the brand's assortment. Expensive and technically sophisticated products usually come out under the flags of Republic of Gamers (or simply ROG), and affordable and reliable gadgets appear in the line of The Ultimate Force (or TUF). If we shift the focus specifically to the TUF power supply, then these products are positioned for entry- and mid-level gaming assemblies with a fixed cable system and a simple backlight system.
The highlight of the TUF series is its increased reliability. In the manufacture of these power supplies, high-quality capacitors (not Japanese) are used, the Axial-tech fan on two ball bearings will last until the days when our grandchildren will be able to play Half-Life 3, and the throttles undergo numerous stress tests using extreme temperatures and powerful vibration. All this is done in order to ensure that TUF products meet strict military production standards.
An important advantage over other "bronze" power supplies is the presence of an official 6-year warranty from Asus. Most manufacturers in this category are limited to 2-3 years of service. Well, unlike other "bronze" models, which are most often built on the basis of outdated circuitry, the TUF power supply is based on a modern platform with APFC chokes, DC/DC converters and an input filter of pulse interference.
At the time of writing this material (note: September 2021), Asus has introduced only one model of the power supply, which is called Asus TUF. Its variations include 450, 550, 650 and 750 watt versions.
