Pliers
— tool for clamping and holding various objects; especially useful in cases where the effort of the fingers is not enough for this or it is impossible to touch the object with your hands at all (for example, if it is heated to a high temperature). In traditional knives, this function is quite rare, but in multi-tools (see "Type"), pliers are often the main tool. At the same time, the term “pliers” in most cases means pliers — a universal tool that combines actually flat sponges, notches for gripping round parts, side cutters, a wire cutter, and in some models, also needle nose pliers (see the relevant paragraph).Show
