— profile shape derived from daggers: a double-edged blade, usually, long and narrow, strictly symmetrical in shape, with a pronounced point. In many ways it is similar to the spear point, but it is designed not only for stabbing, but also for cutting; some models may even provide different sharpening on different sides of the blade (smooth on one side and serrated on the other).
