This backlight is suitable for watches with any type of dial, and for electronic models, this is the only available option. It is very efficient, does not require "charging" from external lighting and does not lose brightness after a long stay in the dark (unlike fluorescent), and is much cheaper than tritium. The main disadvantage of electronic lighting systems is that they require power — so such systems can only be used in watches with a quartz movement, they are not suitable for mechanical ones.
