Diesel additives

For diesel fuel

— various additives designed to be added to diesel fuel. Most of the compositions from this category are the so-called. cetane correctors — additives to increase the cetane number of diesel fuel and, accordingly, improve its performance (ensuring smooth combustion, reducing detonations, facilitating starting). In addition, there are complex additives — in addition to increasing the cetane number, they also provide flushing of the engine and injection systems, and also reduce its wear.

It is also worth noting that this category often also includes anti-gels — additives for "diluting" diesel fuel at low temperatures. This is not entirely true, although formally anti-gels are also additives for diesel fuel. See the relevant paragraph for more details.
