The advanced Amazfit GTR smartwatch takes the best of three worlds, combining the classic forms of a stylish wristwatch with the smart content of smartphones and a variety of sensors for measuring physical activity from fitness trackers. The key difference from other smartwatches is that the Amaz Fit GTR pays homage to the classics. They are aimed at connoisseurs of traditional mechanical watches and chronometers with massive dials, mechanical bezels and leather straps.
In most cases, devices from the Amazfit GTR family are equipped with AMOLED touch screens that provide good readability in the sun. They support the ability to install a variety of external watch faces and have quick-release straps. Depending on the model, they are equipped with GPS modules for navigation and NFC chips for using the watch as a virtual wallet. The presence of a shockproof case and water protection depends on the specific watch model. Built-in sensors typically provide information about heart rate, blood oxygen saturation level (but not always), steps taken, speed and calories burned.
In terms of hardware and functionality, they largely overlap with the Amazfit GTS watch. That is, this is a pretty serious watch with a full-fledged operating system (Zepp OS), high-quality sensors, a built-in speaker with a microphone for voice calls. 2022 and later GTR models often come equipped with a built-in player and Wi-Fi for music downloads, sensors for 24/7 heart rate, oxygen and stress monitoring, as well as comprehensive GPS modules with support for multiple satellite systems and circularly polarized antennas. With GPS turned off, a typical representative of the GTS series can hold a charge for 14 – 20 days.
