Hussar

— a hussar costume usually consists of a jacket imitating a dolman uniform, trousers and a shako — a high headdress. Real hussars also wore a mentic — a short jacket, usually draped over the left shoulder — but in the case of carnival outfits, this detail is considered overkill.
