— semi-precious stone, one of the specific varieties of quartz, which received its own name. Onyx can have a different colour, there are stones with a layered structure, however, monochrome onyxes (mostly black) are more often used in jewelry. This is due to the fact that it is possible to see the layering normally only on a rather large stone, and such inserts, usually, are inconvenient for wearing in bracelets.
