A pair of 2.0 format speakers from the Studio line, the main features of which are wood grain design and a fully digital path. Enclosures of multimedia speakers are made of MDF board of the highest class E0. Thanks to the phase inverter output on the front panel, they can be installed close to the wall without worrying about the appearance of sound distortion. Edifier R1280DB belongs to the category of shelf computer acoustics.

The satellites of the audio system are armed with one four-inch bass speaker (diffusers made of pressed paper interspersed with wool) and one half-inch dome tweeter each. In total, the speakers deliver 42 watts of power. The sound control block is located in the active speaker. On its side there are volume, bass and treble controls. The audio system is connected by wire or Bluetooth wireless network. Also, a complete remote control can be used to control the speakers.

The sound isn't just good, it's superb.

The sound isn't just good, it's splendid compared to my old F&D SPS-611. The bass doesn't match the size of the speakers; it's much deeper than similar-sized counterparts. There are no complaints about the high frequencies either. The white noise present in all cheap speakers is entirely absent upon turning these on. I'm very satisfied with the speakers and how they sound. For normal sound, you need to turn the bass and treble controls to the maximum, so I don't see the point in their installation. The volume control is on a rotary encoder with smooth adjustment, meaning it's not just a resistor that will dry out and crackle over the years but offers electronic adjustment, and it has a push button for selecting input channels. The speakers are connected to a Sound Blaster Audigy SE.

Recently bought. For this money, just great. The previous ones (Genius SP-HF1800A) were buzzing, hissing like crazy))). Decided to buy new ones, after long consideration settled on the Edifier R1280DB. Connected to the PC with an optical cable that was included (the motherboard also has a port). Totally satisfied with the sound.
Compact, recognizable, visual, different ways of connecting, Bluetooth, remote control, turning the sound to the maximum and not wheezing anywhere, complete set.

By the time I purchased the Edifier R1280DB, I already had SVEN SPS-750, but I wanted another small speaker for another room. For a long time I was choosing speakers of approximately the same class as the above-mentioned models and decided to settle on the Edifier R1280DB, as I was seduced by the small size, excellent design, bass reflexes in the front, class D amplifier, relatively low price (bought at a discount for 6,700 rubles) and good reviews . As a result of initial testing of the mentioned speakers under the same conditions - volume, timbre, sound source, etc. I came to the subjective conclusion that SVEN SPS-750 sound significantly better (and louder), although they have some drawbacks (no protective cover for the speakers, bass reflex at the back, larger by plus or minus 1.5 cm in all sizes)

The sound is worse than Sven's - subjectively (and in terms of characteristics) the frequency range is smaller throughout the entire range (especially the low ones lose), at high volume the low ones begin to mumble, there are no low-frequency-high frequency adjustments on the remote control (unlike Sven), the price is 1, 5-2 thousand rubles higher than Sven’s.
