It is based on classic Red mechanical switches with a smooth linear motion.
The base supports Hot Swap technology, which allows users to replace switches without a soldering iron, installing compatible alternatives according to their tactile preferences. Introduced in 2026, the MSI Forge GK320 keyboard is equipped with a system that handles up to 26 simultaneous keystrokes (26-KRO) and anti-ghosting technology. For audio control, there is a dedicated wheel with step-by-step tactile feedback, allowing for volume adjustment or muting with a single click.
Additional control is implemented via the Fn modifier, and macro commands can be assigned to the F1-F5 keys for automating complex command sequences.
