Model overview based on user reviews
The AMD Athlon Raven Ridge series is highly regarded as an ultra-budget option for those seeking a basic yet efficient processor. It features two cores and four threads with an integrated graphics unit, making it suitable for light gaming and multimedia tasks. Users appreciate its affordability and the inclusion of a cooler with thermal paste, which is adequate for its 35W TDP. The processor performs well in games like CS:GO, League of Legends, and Dota 2 at lower resolutions and settings. While it may require an upgrade for more demanding games in the future, it remains a solid choice for budget-conscious consumers looking for a multimedia PC or an office setup. The Zen+ architecture and Vega 3 iGPU are also highlighted as advantages, and it supports DDR4 memory, which is a plus for those upgrading from older systems. Overall, it's a cost-effective solution for basic computing needs.

Budget monster.

I decided to switch from the old fix to new software and RAM (which, by the way, suited me despite my age). I chose this processor, it doesn’t seem to heat up and the characteristics are normal. There is nothing special to compare with because I only play cs 1.6, this runs all the games I know (momcraft and stalker).
DDR4
What are the disadvantages? Well, I didn’t read it and bought DDR3 because... It looks like an old processor, but it's DDR4...

You can buy it if you don’t have money.

Good 2 core CPU. Paired with the rx 480 4gb, it plays tanks, cs, fortnite, old games on medium ones very well, but there are friezes in the window, but they sell it in vain. You shouldn't expect super results from this processor. I haven't tested Vega.
clock frequency
For this price, simply not.

Return to the game

With the release of the Zen architecture chips, AMD is back in the big game and pushing Inte off its throne. And if the first processors of the line focused on high performance, then the second wave was designed for the low-cost segment. One of the most notable representatives of the second wave is the $55 dual-core Athlon 200GE with Vega 3 integrated graphics.

Multithreading support

The Athlon 200GE actually belongs to the Raven Ridge family and is based on the same 14nm die as the older Ryzen 3 2200G or Ryzen 5 2400G. Only in this case, not 4, but 2 physical cores are activated. At the same time, there is support for SMT technology, which allows the processor to process up to 4 data streams simultaneously.

Room for upgrade

Despite multithreading support and good integrated graphics, the main advantage of the processor is the modern AM4 architecture. When the 200GE runs out of time and can no longer cope, it can be painlessly replaced with one of the new Ryzen. Fortunately, this family turned out to be extremely successful and there is really a wide scope for choice.
