The I/O chip contains a 2nd generation RDNA graphics unit, as well as DDR5 and PCI Express 5.0 controllers. Those wishing to upgrade to Zen 4 this fall will be offered motherboards with AMD X670E, X670 and B650E, B650 logic.
The platform will inherit compatibility with AM4 coolers. Zen 4 features a twofold increase in L2 cache (from 512KB to 1MB per core), more than 15% increase in single-threaded performance relative to Zen 3 and boost-mode frequency over 5 GHz.

6-core mid-power processor built on the brand new AMD Zen 4 microarchitecture (code name Raphael). The chip is manufactured using an advanced 5nm process, tailored for operation with DDR5 RAM with AMD EXPO auto-overclocking technology, and designed for installation in motherboards with the AMD AM5 socket, introduced in 2022. At the core of the Ryzen 5 7600X BOX are 6 advanced Zen 4 cores with a base clock speed of 4.7 GHz, which can automatically boost up to 5.3 GHz using Turbo Core technology.

The cores support multithreading technology, allowing each core to simultaneously execute two streams of computations, thereby increasing the overall performance of the processor. Thanks to the new architecture, AMD engineers were able to double the volume of the third level cache, bringing the total to 32 MB. Due to the increased clock speeds, expanded cache size, and optimized architecture, the Ryzen 5 Raphael 7600X BOX delivers nearly a 30% performance boost in single-core tasks compared to similar CPUs on the Zen 3 architecture. The new platform is targeted at a broad range of consumers—from computer enthusiasts and gamers to creative authors and developers. However, due to the high cost of AM5 motherboards and DDR5 memory, these products are more of a future investment, primarily appealing to computer enthusiasts at the initial stage of sales.

A good stone for getting acquainted with Am5.
9 April 2023
i've been using it for 2 months, here's what I can say. I'm fully satisfied, the chip is purely for gaming. I configured the curve, overclocked memory to 6000 CL30, reduced TDP to 80 watts, with boost up to 5450 MHz. If you compare it with its competitor, the i5-13600K, then Intel is more appealing in work tasks and synthetic benchmarks due to its smaller cores. However, it's a dead-end platform, while AM5 will still be viable for at least another 3 years.
Efficiency, boost to 5450MHz without overclocking, future platforms, L3 cache 32MB.
High temperatures (can be reduced with a curve and a few button presses in BIOS), lousy memory controller (memory above 6400 won't run), basically no overclocking, all you might get is 5500, and even that's not stable.

I mainly use the PC for gaming, and this processor performs excellently with them, as I haven't encountered a game yet that it can't handle at high or maximum settings with a 1080 resolution. I use it together with the MSI B650M PROJECT ZERO motherboard. It doesn't overheat, everything is fine.
productive, does not overheat
everything is fine

Expensive motherboard, do not skimp because I have a roomy case. By the way, the integrated graphics is not hopeless, I played the Black Mesa remaster of Half-Life until I bought a video card.
High Performance: Boasts high performance due to the new Zen 4 architecture generation, which provides enhanced efficiency and performance.

Energy Efficiency: This processor features improved energy efficiency, allowing for reduced electricity costs.

PCIe 5.0 Support: Ryzen 5 7600 supports PCIe 5.0, providing data transfer speed for graphics cards and other devices.

DDR5 Support: Supports the new DDR5 memory standards, offering higher speed and performance.
High price may be expensive for some users, especially those looking for a budget option.
Heat dissipation: While it's not a major drawback, some users may find that the processor generates more heat compared to previous models, so consider buying a tower or water cooling system right away.
