A family of pre-top AMD Ryzen 7 2024 processors, codenamed Phoenix, built on a modified Zen 4 architecture. They stand out from their predecessors thanks to the use of high-performance integrated graphics and a separate neural processor for performing tasks related to artificial intelligence. These processors are designed to deliver high performance across a wide range of tasks, from gaming and multimedia to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The lineup includes several variations of the Ryzen 7 8700 chip, which has 8 physical cores, supports multi-threaded processing, operates at a base frequency of 4.2 GHz, and can be overclocked to 5.1 GHz in Turbo mode. A special feature of the series is support for DDR5 memory, which significantly increases bandwidth compared to previous generations using DDR4. This is especially important for graphics-intensive applications and tasks that require large amounts of memory bandwidth.
The Ryzen 7 8700G supports PCI-E 4.0 with 20 lanes, allowing you to connect today's high-speed storage devices and graphics cards for system flexibility and expandability. The integrated graphics are represented by the new GPU Radeon 780M with 12 computing units (CU), the performance of which is approximately equal to the capabilities of the discrete GeForce GTX 1060. That is, we are not talking about a banal plug, but about quite a gaming video card with support for the FSR upscaler, capable of delivering from 30 to 45 FPS in Full HD and with medium graphics settings in Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, RDR2, Horizon Zero Dawn and other AAA blockbusters of recent years. Another important feature is the integration of XDNA AI Engine, which performs artificial intelligence and machine learning tasks. This neural processor runs at 1.6 GHz and delivers performance up to 16 TOPS (trillion operations per second) for INT8 operations.
