The 2021 model universal and well-balanced microATX motherboard with an AMD AM4 processor socket and mid-range B550 chipset. Designed for building multipurpose home systems, high-performance office PCs, and entry-level workstations. Thanks to the PCIe x16 slot reinforced with a steel bracket, it is compatible with heavy and bulky gaming/professional graphics cards. Supports 4/6/8/12/16-core AMD Ryzen 3000/5000 (Matisse/Vermeer) processors and Ryzen 4000G/5000G (Renoir/Cezanne) hybrid APUs.

Positioned as a mid-range product. Unlike previous generation models (with the B450 chipset), the MSI B550M PRO-VDH motherboard provides full support for the PCIe Gen4 system interface, which allows doubling the texture loading speed in new models of discrete graphics cards and significantly speeding up data exchange with high-performance NVMe SSD drives.

It is also noteworthy for having a built-in high-performance GbE LAN Realtek 8111HN network adapter. With 4 slots for DDR4 DIMM modules, it supports a significant maximum total volume of RAM (up to 128 GB), sufficient for solving any household and the vast majority of professional tasks. Allows connecting monitors with analog (VGA D-Sub) and digital (HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4) interfaces.

Top in terms of temperatures, board design and BIOS.

the location of the pins needed to short for restoring the BIOS default settings is blocked by the graphics card. You can reach it with a screwdriver, but it's frustrating that they couldn't implement this function with a simple button.

Can only be purchased if the board is compatible with the existing processor in the box

The manufacturer's website states that the board is compatible with processors above the AMD Ryzen 3000 series after a BIOS update. Before installing the Ryzen 5600G, we updated the BIOS from a flash drive (strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions), but upon starting, it turned out the update was unstable. To make matters worse, to flash it with a programmer, you need to desolder the built-in Micron 256MD flash from the board since it has no "pins." But even that did not help, as there is simply no suitable program for this flash memory for the programmer available online. In the end, according to reviews, the board is not bad, but to update or flash the latest BIOS, you'll be struggling a lot.
