Apple Watch SE is not just a smartwatch, but a personal assistant, fitness coach, and wallet all in one device. Yes, there are minor drawbacks, but none of them overshadow the main point: this gadget truly makes life more convenient. And after 5 years of use, I can confidently say – it is worth it. I have been using the Apple Watch SE 40mm for over 5 years, and I can definitely say: it's one of those gadgets you get so accustomed to that being without it feels like being without hands. What I value most is the convenience of payment - in a store, I just place my wrist near the terminal, and the purchase is complete. No need to take out phones or bank cards. It's real comfort, especially when your hands are full. The watch is excellent during workouts: step count, heart rate, calories burned - everything is accurate and visual. The watch has significantly enhanced my understanding of my own body. It's also convenient to control music or receive messages right on your wrist. They have become for me a complete extension of my smartphone, always with me. But there are some downsides. The first is the original silicone band. At first glance, it appears convenient and stylish, but with active use, especially in summer or after washing hands, moisture gets underneath, causing the skin to react with redness. I had to replace it with a fabric band, which immediately solved the problem. The second downside is the battery. Initially, the charge lasted for a day and a half, but over the years, the capacity has noticeably decreased. Now the watch might run out of power by evening, especially with heavy use. "Apple" smartwatches occupy the tops in sales on a global scale. However, they are by no means cheap. An affordable offering in Apple's wearables shelf is the newly minted Watch SE, released at the dawn of fall 2020.
Positioning
The watch is positioned as an affordable alternative to the Apple Watch Series 6, and a couple of years old Apple Watch Series 3 served as a role model for the development of a wearable device. A close resemblance to the latter can be traced in terms of functionality and on-board equipment. Compared to the “troika”, the SE model had a twofold increase in performance and a good third of the size of the OLED screen.
On the pulse of events
With the help of the watch, it is easy to control the pulse, motor activity, analyze sleep, and draw up training programs. Useful additions are the Fitness + application, which allows you to analyze the level of physical activity, and the “carrier” fall detection function. The differences between the SE version and the basic generation of the sixth Apple Watch model lie in the absence of the Always-On Display mode, an ECG sensor, and a built-in pulse oximeter.

The body of the smart gadget can withstand diving to a depth of 50 m. Under the hood, it has an NFC chip, Wi-Fi, a GPS module, a pedometer, a compass, and a heart rate monitoring sensor.
