The Ultimate Force
Asus TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS D4 is a compact microATX gaming motherboard based on the mid-range B660 chipset with an Intel LGA 1700 processor socket. The board is equipped with an improved elemental base, including solid polymer capacitors, silent ferrite chokes and low-resistance MOSFET assemblies . The reliable 11-phase power subsystem is designed to work with powerful Core i5/i7 processors of the latest generations (Alder Lake, Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh).
When size doesn't matter
Despite its compact size, TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS D4 is equipped with modern features and expansion slots. Unlike the flagship ROG Strix boards, it has a less powerful power subsystem, but offers 4 slots for overclocked DDR4-5333 RAM, 2 slots for fast M.2 SSD PCIe 4.0 drives, 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, current versions HDMI and DisplayPort and Thunderbolt support. The M.2 ports are covered with metal heat sinks, the VRM area is protected by a massive heatsink, and the video card slot is reinforced with reinforced fiber.
DDR4 or DDR5? The choice is yours
You can choose a board that supports DDR5 and pay a little more for faster, more modern memory. While DDR5 doesn't offer significant advantages over DDR4 in most gaming tests, prices for next-gen components have bounced back, with a DDR5 motherboard costing just $100 more than a comparable DDR4 motherboard.
