Canon 16mm f/2.8 RF STM (5051C005)

Tiny wide-angle prime lens for Canon full-frame RF mirrorless cameras. It has a wide diagonal field of view (about 107°) and a quite acceptable maximum aperture of f/2.8. The model is useful in the genres of landscape, interior and architectural photography. And thanks to the silent stepper autofocus motor, it can also be used for video shooting. The lens is focused automatically from a distance of 13 cm.

Optically, the Canon RF 16mm f / 2.8 STM is designed according to the formula of 9 elements in 7 groups, while one lens is aspherical. The aperture of the model is a traditional 7-blade, without pretensions to the outstanding beauty of bokeh. However, for wide-angle optics, this is not at all critical. The fixed lens is compatible with small, and therefore inexpensive, 43 mm filters. The “width” is assembled in a body with dimensions of 40x69 mm (diameter and length, respectively), it weighs about 165 g. In a burden with photographic equipment, the lens occupies a minimum of space and practically does not make it heavier.
