Small wide-angle fixed lens for full-frame Canon mirrorless cameras with RF mount. It has a wide diagonal field of view (about 107°) and a quite acceptable maximum aperture of f/2.8. The model is useful for landscape, interior, and architectural photography genres. Thanks to its silent stepper motor autofocus, it is also suitable for video shooting. The lens focuses automatically from a distance of 13 cm.

Optically, the Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM is designed with 9 elements in 7 groups, with one lens being aspherical. The aperture is a traditional 7-blade type, without claiming outstanding bokeh beauty. However, this is not critical for wide-angle optics. The fixed lens is compatible with small and therefore relatively inexpensive filters with a diameter of 43 mm. The "wide" is housed in a body with dimensions of 40x69 mm (diameter and length respectively) and weighs about 165 g.
