When choosing, I wanted to get an inexpensive yet modern DSLR camera that would delight with plenty of manual settings and fast shots in AUTO mode. I bought the EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens and I'm completely satisfied with the camera choice.))) You experience the first pleasant impressions when holding the camera. The high-quality plastic with rubber inserts feels comfortable and secure in your hand. The camera is very light (for a DSLR), weighing less than half a kilogram without the lens, and with the EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens, it weighs about 700 grams. The dimensions are also quite moderate. The photos turn out excellent, with good detail and color reproduction. The white balance is almost always accurately determined, with rare issues under artificial lighting, but thanks to the 14-bit RAW format, most mistakes can be corrected during post-processing. In the dark, at high sensitivity, noise becomes noticeable only at 1600 units. You can shoot at higher ISO levels, and with noise reduction during post-processing, the problem is fully resolved. It can shoot full-fledged and quite high-quality Full HD video. The diopter adjustment was very useful, otherwise, with my nearsightedness, using the optical viewfinder would have been difficult. I am a photographer with a little experience (I used to shoot with a Canon PowerShot A650 and also had a Nikon Coolpix). So there was no point in getting something professional; I first need to learn how to shoot. For this purpose, you won't find anything better than the 1200D. It was created specifically for beginners. The menu is simple, understandable, and even with tips explaining what and why. The mode dial has several automatic settings, so if you get confused and don't know how to set up the camera, you can use them. And the image quality is superb. Especially at dusk: without a flash, point-and-shoot cameras weren't capable of capturing anything.
