Flagship mirrorless camera with 32.5 MP APS-C image sensor. The camera matrix is mounted on a movable stabilizing platform that provides compensation for up to 7-8 shutter speed or exposure steps (depending on the lens used). The model was released under the fleet of Canon RF bayonet optics. The camera photographs in rhythm up to 15 fps using a mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps with an electronic shutter.

From full-frame counterparts in the RF system, the mirrorless borrowed the advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system. It provides intelligent tracking functions in the frame of people, animals and vehicles. Video shooting on the Canon EOS R7 body is carried out at a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at 30 fps with data recording from the entire sensor width or in 4K format at 60 fps with a picture crop of about 1.81x. Also, the model boasts 10-bit video, support for shooting in C-Log3 and HDR PQ. The mirrorless is armed with an OLED viewfinder, a 3-inch touch screen on a swivel hinge, and a dual slot for fast SD UHS-II memory cards. In the body-configuration, the camera is supplied without standard optics.

The camera has everything you've been wanting for so long. It works perfectly with all the old lenses. Claims that "there are not enough optics" are not serious.

In the spring of 2022, Canon expanded its line of RF-mount mirrorless cameras by adding two new models with APS-C image sensors - the EOS R10 and EOS R7.

Matrix stabilization

The R7 model is equipped with a 32.5 MP sensor, which is installed on a movable stabilizing platform. The matrix stabilization system compensates for camera movement along 5 axes and allows you to get up to 7-8 stops of exposure or shutter speed, depending on the lens used. In continuous shooting mode, the camera can achieve speeds of up to 15 fps with the mechanical shutter, and up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter.

Advanced autofocus and 4K video shooting

One of the features of the mirrorless camera is the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus system with the ability to track animals, vehicles and faces, including eyes. In addition, the camera offers video recording in 4K resolution at 30 fps with the ability to record 10-bit video with C-Log3 and HDR PQ. Data can be saved to one of two UHS-II class SD memory cards, as the camera has two slots.

Touch screen and OLED viewfinder

For ease of photographing from different angles, the camera is equipped with a rotating touch screen. With it, you can select focus areas and quickly change shooting settings.
