In Smart Auto mode, an intelligent contrast correction system (i-Contrast) is installed, which, based on the results of image analysis, selects the optimal shutter speed, making dark areas brighter and more detailed without compromising areas with correct exposure. In addition, Canon's handy Easy Mode provides unparalleled ease of setup for beginners. Most of the buttons are deactivated, and the icons are removed from the screen, after which you can work on the principle of "point and shoot".

The Smart Flash Exposure function improves the naturalness and brightness of images in every frame by intelligently adjusting the flash speed according to the characteristics of the subject and shooting conditions. For example, in daylight shooting, Smart Flash Exposure detects and eliminates harsh shadows on faces caused by angled light, and automatically activates the flash to brighten poorly lit elements. Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology prevents image blur by greatly reducing the effects of camera shake. In situations where the camera is prone to camera shake (such as in the dark or when using the zoom lens extended), the Optical Image Stabilizer maintains the sharpness of the footage using miniature gyro sensors that detect camera movements caused by hand shake. These signals are processed by an image stabilizer chip that distinguishes between hand shake and intentional camera movement. They are then passed to the image stabilizer unit, which shifts lens elements accordingly to correct light rays and eliminate unwanted effects caused by shaking.
