The flagship mirrorless camera with a full-frame image sensor, aimed at advanced photographers and videographers. The camera features a completely new 33-megapixel Exmor R sensor with back-illuminated technology. As expected, the sensor is mounted on a movable stabilizing platform, providing shutter or exposure compensation up to 5.5 stops (according to CIPA standards).
The native ISO sensitivity range of the sensor is measured within 100 to 51200 units. Software can "push" it within the range of 50-204800 units. The hybrid autofocus in Sony A7 IV body boasts 759 phase detection points and 425 contrast points. Focus is possible on the faces and eyes of people, the faces of animals, and even the eyes of birds. The maximum burst shooting speed of the camera is 10 fps.
The buffer can hold over 800 uncompressed RAW files. For video shooting, from the full width of the sensor, it can record 4K video at up to 30 fps, and from the APS-C area — 4K at 60 fps. It supports 10-bit color, 4:2:2 subsampling, S-Log3 with a range up to 14 stops, HLG, and the proprietary S-Cinetone. The camera's touchscreen is mounted on a swivel hinge. An additional plus for the mirrorless camera is the increased resolution of the OLED viewfinder screen (3.69 million pixels). When the camera is turned off, the sensor closes with a shutter, which is useful when changing lenses and protects the camera "insides" from dust.

A month ago, during work trips, I had the chance to test this new product. The camera turned out excellent and is quite a worthy replacement for the a7III. Considering that the "troika" will be discontinued next year. Personally, for hybrid shooting, it satisfies me in every way. Everything I felt was missing in the "troika" has been added here. So, I will definitely be buying it. As for what the "couch expert haters" say, I couldn't care less. After all, judging a "book you haven't read as bad" is not a valid opinion. Swivel screen, 10bit 4.2.2, autofocus, shutter, and more. Liked a lot of things. If I start listing everything, there won't be enough space here.
