How to choose a gaming keyboardLet's look at the differences between the types of switches and additional equipment for gaming keyboards

Kingston enters the peripheral market

Kingston has made its name in the memory market with flash drives, SSDs, sticks of RAM and more. Relatively recently, they decided to master another area of activity, namely, gaming peripherals, turning the HyperX line into. separate gaming brand and launching the HyperX Alloy series of gaming keyboards.

metal case

The HyperX Alloy FPS model looks like a simple, high-quality mechanical keyboard that has nothing superfluous. The upper part of the body is made of a solid steel plate, which adds rigidity to the structure. The bottom is made of plastic. The build quality is excellent. Keyboards perfectly clings to the surface thanks to the rubber feet.

Simple, convenient and reliable mechanics

The layout of the keys is standard, all blocks are separated from each other. The operating experience is 100% positive, the Blue Switch keys are firm, responsive and precise. It is equally pleasant and cut with friends in Overwatch, and typing texts. However, we did not expect anything else from high-quality mechanics.

Detachable USB cable

Of the pleasant things, we highlight a removable cable in a fabric braid, an additional USB port. As for the shortcomings, two controversial points are striking. The first is wire, not button stabilizers for long keys. In a model of this class, I would like everything at once. The second point is the volume of the Blue Switches. They click quite loudly, like "tube" typewriters. Therefore, before buying, we recommend that you try everything yourself.

monochrome illumination

Well, this model does not have decorative RGB lighting, only monochrome. If you want backlit, then pay attention to HyperX Alloy FPS RGB.
