A cordless hammer drill with three operating modes and an SDS+ chuck. The tool can be used for drilling concrete (up to ⌀24 mm), brick (up to ⌀54 mm when using a hollow crown), ceramic blocks, wood (up to ⌀27 mm), metal (up to ⌀13 mm) and other materials, as well as performing relatively simple dismantling work associated with knocking down plaster or tiles. The Makita DHR242RTJW hammer drill is equipped with a brushless motor.

The maximum impact energy is 2 J, and the chuck rotation speed reaches 950 rpm. The tool has an electronic torque limiter (functions as a safety clutch and automatically turns off the tool when the equipment jams). In this package, the hammer drill comes with a removable Makita 199563-2 dust collector with a plastic container for 0.4 liters of dust. The kit also includes a spacious plastic Makpac case, an additional handle with a drilling depth limiter, a DC18RC charger and two Makita 18V LXT batteries, each with a capacity of 5 Ah.
