This is a purely functional router for creating a high-speed wireless (802.11a / n / ac + 802.11b / g / n) and/or cable network in a medium-sized house, apartment or office.
Its distinctive features are the proprietary operating system Router OS, which opens up features for fine-tuning various device operation parameters, and the presence of an SFP connector for connecting an optical module. High power and a significant coverage area of the MikroTik hAP ac router is achieved only through the use of built-in omnidirectional antennas, the use of external ones is not provided.
The data transfer rate "over the air" in the 2.4 GHz band reaches 300 Mbps, when operating at a 5 GHz frequency — 867 Mbps. In addition, the device is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN and 5 LAN 1000BASE-TX up to 1000 Mbps), the last of which is provided with power-over-ethernet technology and can power other devices, such as a remote outdoor access point.
