MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI (911-7D77-001)

An enterprise-level motherboard with built-in Wi-Fi module, reinforced slots and high-quality circuitry. The model is based on the AMD B650 mid-range chipset, equipped with the new AMD AM5 socket and belongs to the MSI PRO mid-range series. However, due to the high cost of the new platform and sharpness for next-gen components (DDR5, PCIe 5.0), at the start of sales it has to compete with high-end overclocker boards based on socket AM4.

MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI belongs to the compact micro-ATX format and can be installed in both classic and miniature desktop and Cube Case cases. The digital power subsystem has a large margin of safety and is designed to power the Ryzen 7000 series processors introduced in the fall of 2022. Its capabilities include the installation of a high-performance graphics card, so this model can be considered as the foundation for a gaming PC with an AM5 socket.

Moreover, it is equipped with 4 DDR5 slots, which can be loaded with up to 128 GB of RAM with a maximum frequency of 6400 MHz. The board is also capable of handling two NVMe SSDs and four SATA3 drives. Despite belonging to the corporate segment, the board supports proprietary Core Boost technologies for auto-overclocking of the processor and Memory Boost for memory acceleration.

There are connectors for connecting LED strips and a water pump. The increased reliability of the board is manifested in the use of compacted textolite, high-quality thermal capacitors, reinforced PCIe slots and thermal pads for transistors and chokes. In addition, MSI engineers added heatsinks everywhere to cool the VRM zone, near the socket space, and covered the M.2 connectors with Shield Frozr thermal pads, which will not be superfluous when using inexpensive but fast SSDs with PCIe 4.0 bus support.
