In particular, when designing it, the manufacturer actively used durable capacitors, compacted textolite, heat-resistant power switches, specialized latches and additional cooling of critical areas. Integration of the PCI-E 4.0/5.0 bus makes it possible to create efficient disk subsystems using high-speed M.2 SSD drives. The use of Core Boost technology allows you to precisely regulate the processor supply voltage, creating ideal conditions for overclocking.

A powerful 18-phase digital power converter is ready to work together with high-performance Core i9 processors and a video card no lower than GeForce RTX 4080. Of course, more modest CPUs and GPUs are also suitable, but they will not be able to fully unleash the potential of the board. At the same time, the equipment of the device looks as serious as possible and includes 11 slots for connecting drives (7 SATA3 + 4 M.2 with support for the PCI-E 4.0 bus) + 4 standard slots for DDR4 RAM (speed no more than 7200 MHz, maximum volume 192 GB) .

Network traffic is distributed by an Intel LAN controller with a 2.5 Gbps bandwidth and a pre-installed wireless receiver supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Other features of the MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR5 include redesigned mounting hole grounding, Shield Frozr heatsinks for M.2 drives, PCI-E Steel Armor slots, integrated diagnostic tools for system problems and Frozr AI intelligent cooling management system. Plus, the board also provides all the necessary tools to create comprehensive case lighting and water cooling.
