Portrait-class prime lens — the focal length is 58 mm for the standard full frame sensor and 87 mm for APS-C, with which it can also be used. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a “tribute to the legendary Noct-Nikkor lens” and, like its predecessor, has a high aperture ratio — f/1.4 — as well as high-precision performance for a minimum of distortion. The aperture is equipped with 9 rounded blades, which provides soft blur without angularity. Also worth noting is the ultrasonic autofocus drive. The lens is attached to the Nikon F mount.
