You should get these palaces while there is a freebie with the firmware.
11 December 2025
Bought the Chinese version 256/12 at TOP-Electronics for 30,000 UAH, flashed with global OTA firmware. Apparently, there are no issues with the firmware, unlike the 13th series (just lacks eSIM and Android Auto). For me, it's undeniably the best flagship in terms of price/technology ratio that you can buy in Ukraine, considering the cameras.

Some might be willing to pay 10,000 UAH more for a "gray" Samsung S26 Ultra or 20,000 UAH more for a European Vivo X300 Pro for slightly better cameras in Samsung's case or much better ones in Vivo's, but then you'd have to settle for their relatively small batteries at 5000–5400 mAh. For me, the battery size is a priority, and here there's a bonus in the form of firmware for a cheap Chinese model.

Unfortunately, Oppo continues to throttle OnePlus and deliberately downgrades the cameras, but they're still good enough to be considered "flagship" level — at least on the lower end of it.

The biggest revelation for me was the cooling system and optimization — this phone just can't heat up to an uncomfortable temperature, even under heavy gaming on max settings. My previous OnePlus 11 and Samsung S23 Ultra heated up like stoves and drained the battery right before my eyes, but here I finally feel like I'm using a quality product: it doesn't heat above 40° and holds charge twice as long compared to the tired S23 Ultra.
Need better performance and autonomy — this OnePlus. Need better cameras — any other flagship.

Check with stores for OTA support.
Great battery, the phone doesn't heat up during gaming at max settings even with FPS unlock, the system operates very quickly and smoothly, good price, includes a quality case and screen protector, and in the Chinese version there will also be a power adapter (buy a good adapter with locking).
Weak cameras compared to other flagships.

Unfortunately, the OnePlus 15 is no longer a flagship killer.

Now it's not even a basic flagship, but a gaming phone, although Asus ROG Phone models are much cooler gaming phones. Do I recommend this phone? At the current price of about 1,000 EUR — definitely not. For that money, it’s better to buy a versatile Android flagship like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. When the price drops to 625 – 675 EUR, you might consider the phone if you're interested in gaming phones with long battery life. By the way, only buy the global version as the Chinese versions get blocked by the company!
I'll share a little experience using the phone. One of the things that pleases me is the battery life, which is definitely quite impressive. Of course, everyone uses their phone differently, but the battery life of this phone is certainly one of the best among expensive models. The weight is pretty reasonable, considering the battery capacity. With a powerful charger, you can charge the phone up to 75% in 30 minutes. The software is quite stable, though there is a bug with connecting to Android Auto over Wi-Fi (this is a common issue).
Now, what's not to like. The company's new positioning of the phone. Compared to the predecessor, the company put worse camera sensors here. Now during the day, the phone takes pictures a bit differently (thanks to AI), but at night it's definitely worse because the sensor sizes are smaller than the 13 model. Just so you understand, the main camera here is the same as in the Samsung A56 (which costs 15,000-17,000 EUR). We used to love OnePlus for the unique OxygenOS, but the current OxygenOS is the same firmware found on Oppo and Realme. Now the phone doesn't have the unique mode switcher on the side; instead, a simple button appeared. If OnePlus used to be positioned as a flagship killer, now the company positions the phone as a gaming phone. Yet, the phone overheats in most synthetic tests and doesn't complete them. And what kind of a gaming phone is that!?
They took it to their liking. The next one will be a camera phone. Taking a special note of the OnePlus 15

It didn't last long. I often experience this. It's not always because the smartphone is bad. Everyone has their quirks. Mine are: cameraphone, IP68 (now almost standard even for mid-range phones, but there was a time even flagships didn't have it), wireless charging, low self-discharge rate (not to be confused with battery life; when the phone is just lying idle), and the interface. My friend has different priorities: system smoothness, absence of bugs, battery. Good cameras are a plus. If a certain feature is missing, nothing else matters. By the way, my friend is thrilled with the system's smoothness and battery. He considers it the best smartphone he's had a hands-on experience with (except for Oppo, Vivo, Huawei flagships). I liked the interface. Fonts and icons are customizable. In apps and the system, fonts are of a consistently large size. Why mention this? Reviews don't talk about it. It's important to me. That's why I rejected Pixel and Xiaomi. I can't say anything about games because they aren't my thing. Regarding the camera. Yes, it somewhat lags behind Samsung or iPhone. But they are on par. If you have nothing to compare with, you won't even notice. Moreover, sometimes even in the same smartphone, the shots can vary. Updates also make a difference. Xiaomi 17 Ultra at launch and now are different phones in terms of cameras. The processor also matters. On Samsung A56, maybe it's the same sensor (who says A56 photos are bad?), but the processors can't be compared. The more powerful, the better. That's why iPhones are always good.
Interface, camera autonomy, competitive price, convenience, build quality.
Availability (no official sales), cameras (yes, there's a certain ambiguity here, both an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time).
