The representative of the mid-low-cost Nord series boasts almost flagship features and an affordable price. In general, the model is inspired by OnePlus 9, especially in appearance: like more expensive devices, the back panel is made of Gorilla Glass, and the main camera is designed as a rectangular block with large lenses. The latter unites three modules: at the head is a 50-megapixel sensor with optical stabilization, and it is complemented by 8 MP “wide” and a 2 MP monochrome sensor.
For selfies, a 32 MP camera is provided, located in a round cutout in the upper left corner of the screen. The display here is also at a high level. This is a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The fingerprint scanner is hidden under the screen. Typically, the manufacturer uses Qualcomm processors in its gadgets, but OnePlus Nord2 received MediaTek Dimensity 1200.
This solution is quite successful, since the chip is comparable in performance to Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 870. Support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 is claimed. Of course, it was not without NFC, but, unfortunately, there is no slot for a memory card and a 3.5 mm jack. But there are stereo speakers, which are rarely seen in representatives of the middle price segment. Finally, another advantage of the model was a 4500 mAh battery with 65 W fast charging. It can fully charge a dead battery in just 30 minutes.

An affordable alternative to the OnePlus tops at one time was the Nord line of “Nordic” smartphones. In the summer of 2021, the debut of the second generation of mobile devices from this series took place, which received qualitative improvements in almost all fronts.
Solid performance
The OnePlus Nord2 smartphone has switched to a hardware platform from MediaTek – a powerful Dimensity 1200 5G processor, made using a 6-nanometer process technology, is installed in the “inside” of the model. The ambitious chipset is supported by a powerful ARM Mali-G77 MC9 video core and 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone plays games at high and ultra graphics settings without fps subsidence during prolonged gameplay. But the volume of internal memory of the smartphone is non-expandable – the storage capacity of the model starts at 128 GB.
Juicy Fluid AMOLED screen
At the head of the front panel of the mobile device is a Fluid AMOLED screen with a diagonal size of 6.4", a picture resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz(you can also set 60 Hz in the settings to save battery power). A full charge of a dual battery with a total capacity of 4500 mAh is enough for a day of autonomous operation of a smartphone with increased loads. You can charge the battery up to 100% in just half an hour with a 65 W proprietary unit.
The photographic side of the issue
The average price category of OnePlus Nord2 is given out by plastic side faces. The front and back of the smartphone is covered with Gorilla Glass v5. The triple rear camera of the device with two large “eyes” of the leading image sensor of 50 MP and ultra-wide of 8 MP is complemented by an ordinary 5 MP monochrome sensor. Suitable pictures are taken on it in conditions of good illumination of the frame, with a decrease in the amount of light in the dark sky, characteristic “watercolor” stains appear. Communication Arsenal
Together with the smartphone, it is supposed to use two SIM cards, the model supports 5G frequencies, there are Wi-Fi 6 adapters, Bluetooth v5.2 with aptX HD and NFC for contactless payment for purchases. Personal data is stored in the gadget's memory under the lock of the under-screen fingerprint scanner. The overall pleasant impression of the smartphone is strengthened by high-quality stereo speakers, which are gradually becoming an attribute of good medium-level mobile devices.
